Everyone knows turkey is for Thanksgiving. It's in the Constitution. I read that on Wikipedia. We usually have ham except for when I get all gourmet and make a roulade or something. Who doesn't like meats stuffed with stuff? If you don't then the terrorists have won.

As I've written about before, I have an anxiety disorder. People generally do not understand it at all, especially very social people. It's a frustrating thing and I hate it and I wish it would just go away, but it won't, even with medicine. Last night I was perusing the interwebs and came across this video, which describes panic attacks better than I ever have, so I thought I'd share it. It's only two minutes long, so watch.

 

Sara Benincasa made the video and has written the new book, Agorafabulous! about panic attacks. It comes out in February and I can't wait to read it. I love that she's taken what can be terrifying and turned it into something funny and informative. And no, we can't "just snap out of it," but maybe we can be more understood and not thought of as crazy people TLC would make a reality show about.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the grocery store to buy food for a party I'm having tomorrow night (arrgh).

I feel like we've already been over this. I have a real fake pre-lit tree. It's fake and I love it. Faux? Real trees are overrated.

I always did a red and white tree until about five years ago when I found multicolored glitter balls. I don't know if y'all know this or not, but I freakin' love glitter. So, now my tree is extremely colorful. I love it. It is very me, but also has the kids' ornaments they've made from school, which can be hideous. And personally, did you think I wouldn't have hot pink, lime green, and orange on my tree?

I used the online elf name generator to come up with an elf name. I didn't like the name it gave me using my last name (Snappy Spirit Fingers), so I used my maiden name. It gave me Snappy Sugar-Socks. I kinda like it.

I have opinions on this. My tree has white lights and very colorful ornaments. That's the way I think it should be. I do love mulitcolored lights on a very simple tree, but never all one-color lights. I think it's weird when people have lights that are all blue or all red or something. Likewise when people put those on their houses. Why do people do that? I've seen a house with orange lights before. What holiday is that supposed to be celebrating? Orange is not a Christmas color. 

So, today I had my hair dyed fluorescent orange.
