2.130/365: Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts — 3

Let’s face it, if you haven’t gotten your mother a gift by now you’re too late for online options and you’ll be at the mall or strip mall store or getting a card and shoving the most random gift card CVS has in its gift card section. And guys — don’t forget your wives!

Don’t do gift cards when you can do subscription boxes that are more catered toward your mom.

For the makeup/skincare loving mom, there’s Birchbox. I had this subscription for a year and I can’t tell you how much I loved it.

For the fashion forward mom, get Stitch Fix. She will select her size, what type of style she prefers, if she would prefer only clothes or accessories as well. I have heard great things about this subscription box. Stitch Fix’s sizes go to 24, so if you know your mom is on the plus size side, but you aren’t sure if her size, I give you Dia. I can’t tell you how much I love Dia. Dia carries size 14 (where plus starts) to 32 and there are no old lady styles here. Your mom will love it.

If your mom is a big reader, I have the perfect subscription service for her! The Strand, an independent bookstore offers The Book Hookup. You won’t believe this. Quarterly, your mom will get a themed box a new first edition, SIGNED book as well as an additional paperback, a snack or a mug or something else fun. Your mom will love it.

Maybe your mom is all about ethically made products that are not only good to our environment and humans, they are beautiful and pamper mom as well. This is Causebox. You’re not going to believe the cool things she’ll get. Four times a year your mom will get things like this spring’s box’s contents: a gorgeous charm bracelet, vegan-leather clutch, vegan silk scarf, bamboo sleep mask, and more. Her do-gooder heart will be happy.

Does your mom have a sweet tooth? A salty tooth? Does Mom like a good snack? “Who doesn’t?” is what I want to know. Set your mom up with the best snacks from around the globe! You need to get Munch Addict in her life. Shut up. This might be my favorite. Honestly, this is something most people wouldn’t buy for themselves and it’s what you get the person who has everything or says doesn’t need anything.

If your mom is a Christian who would love inspiration she can pass on, check out Loved + Blessed. Each month she’ll get something nice, inspirational books, journals, cards with great Bible verses, and ways to reach out to her community. Check it out.

Don’t leave out your fun single mom on Mother’s Day! Sometimes single moms feel left out — don’t be the one who leaves her out. Get her Singles Swag. I know what you’re thinking — no, this isn’t something just for spring chickens. It’s not geared toward any certain age group. Your mom will get books, fun fashion accessories, yummy foods, bath and beauty stuff, all kinds of things she will love and BONUS — she will think of you every time she uses something from the box. It’s fantastic.

So, that’s my wrap-up. Make it a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. Take her to brunch, go with her to church, take her to see Avengers: Endgame or Poms. Most of all, make her feel special.
