2.127/365: camp, not camp at the Met Gala

Celebrities attended the annual Met Gala last night in “costume,” but some didn’t read the invitation. Each year the Gala has a theme and this year it was “camp.” Not with tents and s’mores. Camp as in outrageous, ironic, fun • definitely not something you’d see at — oh, I don’t know — The Oscars.

Let’s go to the photos.

Zendaya turning into Cinderella by her Fairy Godmother, camp (and I love it)
Tom and Giselle, not camp — prom king and queen
Ezra Miller, camp of the 7 eyes
The Kardashian-Wests, not camp. Why? Because she would wear that to the MTV Awards. PLUS THIS:
She’s virtually copying her Vogue cover. Her Met Gala outfit would be camp if she blew up the cover, cut her photo out, and wore it with her dress.
Gwen, camp
Emma Stone, not camp — 80s costume party
Katy Perry, camp all the way
Penelope Cruz, not camp
Joan Collins and Naomi Campbell, camp and dressed as her Dynasty character!
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, regular Monday
Janelle Monáe, can you say camp?
Joe Jonas, no, honey, stop.
Billy Porter. Preach!
JLO. Not camp. Take off the headpiece it’s an awards dress
Celine Dionne and RuPaul, this is how it’s done, JLO. Commit to the look
Josh Kushner and Karlie Kloss, not camp, not even close.
Hailee Steinfeld, camp and adorable
Katie Holmes, pretty, not camp
