3.11/366: Kerry tries Facebook quizzes

Facebook has cute quiz things by a company called OMG that basically rotates different things based on nothing that relate to you in any way.

I did one that was in my newsfeed, then did a few more for the blog. My self- imposed rule was that I screenshot the first one that came up and move on. It proved to be fun.

First up:

Eyewear model? Lipstick model?
They nailed this one.
Who knew Iowa had this much going on?
By hottest, if you mean ”best in which you smell with.”
One of these is physically impossible, another was locked down 1997, but I could always move, so — not a complete disaster answer.

This is only true because I like to kick people. Chuck Norris style.

This is true. I’m attracted to men wearing small ropes. You know what the say about guys with small ropes — can’t make a decent knot.

So, basically seven years of the same? Excellent.

3.10/366: my new key fob

Four years ago, I walked into an Ace Hardware at the direction of my phlebotomist who worked across the street. My fabulous phlebotomist asked me where I was going ”looking so fine at 1 pm.” I told him I dressed up every day and he told me I needed to go across the street. I thought he was crazy, but I didn’t have to be anywhere for an hour and I was curious. Little did I know that the Ace hardware store was half huge gift shop with the complete Vera Bradley line, Pandora, Waxing Poetic, Kendra Scott, and a brand of accessories I’d never heard of called Spartina 449.

There was a black and white tote with a hot pink lining I had to have, as well as an orange key fob. I noticed all of the pieces in the line had a little mermaid on them and thought it was cute. Later, I gave them a Goog and discovered Spartina 449 was a company based in coastal South Carolina and the name was from the grass that grows there and the address of the founder’s cottage. Now how cute is that?

Fast fast forward to last year, and I had to get a key off of my key chain. I wouldn’t be able to get it off and it was cut as a last resort in getting the key off. I’ve made due with one I didn’t like, but started looking for a new one. Of course I went back to Spartina 449. They didn’t disappoint. Bees are my favorite, so it had to be this.

3.6/366: Ew, David

My favorite comedy of late, Schitt’s Creek, is coming to a close with its 6th season soon, and so, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite moments. The show is about an extremely wealthy Hollywood family who loses all of their money and move into a motel in a town they own in the middle of nowhere, Schitt’s Creek.

Johnny and Moira are the parents, Alexis and David are the adult children. They are hysterical.

If you haven’t seen it, watch it. I’ve told you, so now you know.

Zoom in on the title.

Tamagotchis!

Adding that to my phrases.

It was a good year for Bedazzling.

Ghost baby!

In her defense, a lot of babies don’t look alike.

Mine too, Moira. Mine too.

3.3/366: Jack said it

I was in my psychiatrist’s waiting room when I got an email that someone had accessed my Netflix account from St. Petersburg, Russia. It said if it wasn’t me I should change my password. When I tried to log in, it wouldn’t let me. Then I checked my email again and there was a new message that my email address was changed ”per your request” and to call if there was a problem. There was a problem. I called. My customer service rep said ”this is bad, but I can help fix this.”

3.2/366: Look at this magic

I’m sure you’ve been seeing the ads on Instagram and Facebook for photo presets called Light and Airy as much as I have. I was intrigued and read reviews. I love taking photos on my phone and editing, but I don’t like filters at all and I’m not going to break out Photoshop, so I was excited. I downloaded Lightroom (which you have to have for the presets) and I downloaded and installed the presets (they’re not free by any means), then I was ready to play (as Fogerty sang).

All of the photos I’ve taken of Andrew with his tuba are dark. No matter what. So, I tried one from before he left for a Christmas concert.

Look at the magic.

Not only was the original dark, but his face also doesn’t look in focus. I’ve tried other photos and they’re night and day.

And look at this damn magic from three years ago:

It’s witchcraft, I tell y’all!

I’m not getting paid one red cent for this, but if you are a big phone photo taker or scrap booker, get this. Here’s the site: http://lightandairyphotog.com/
