I would have to say poor grammar. Verbal and written. There’s nothing like a text or Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook post with no sentence structure, punctuation, and random capitalizations. And my favorite — a random number of ellipsis. Two dots, four dots or more. That kills me.
6.65/365: March challenge day 7 — What’s your dream job?
My dream job was always to be a writer/assistant editor at Rolling Stone or a magazine like what Sassy was (RIP). A job involving music and writing. Is that to much to ask?
6.63/365: March challenge day 6 — Your last random act of kindness
Usually it would be something somewhat anonymous, but I haven’t gotten out much lately, but I did surprise my college kid with fun stuff and snacks last week. It’s always nice to get a text saying “thank you so much for the package! ❤️”
6.63/365: March challenge day 5 — Favorite movies you never get sick of watching
So many.
The Wizard of Oz, The Aviator, You’ve Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Pretty in Pink, Jurassic Park, Midnight in Paris, and Elizabethtown. And most any Star Wars movie.

6.62/365: March challenge day 4 — Best childhood memory
I have three.
One from 2nd grade, going on a field trip to the big post office in Shreveport and seeing everything from where stamps are sold to the big machines that sort the mail. I’m a big gerk for how things work.
My second is from 3rd grade, going to the Revel Arts Festival, again, a field trip, and seeing and making what I thought was “real” art for the first time.
Thirdly was when I was 11 or 12 and discovering the Centenary College radio station. That’s where my real love of music started. My exposure to New Wave and the artists that really spoke to me. The Smiths, R.E.M., The Smiths, New Order, etc.
6.61/365: March challenge day 3 — What makes you happy?

6.59/365: starting my March challenge day 1 — self portrait & 5 random facts about yourself
I liked the February challenge, so let’s do a March one. Here it is. Original by fabulousfindsbytiffsny.com

Self portrait.

5 Random Facts About Kerry:
1. I hate bad grammar. “Anyways” is my latest pet peeve.
2. Superhero movies are one of my favorite things.
3. Risotto is one of my favorite foods.
4. Belle is my favorite Disney princess, followed by Tiana.
4. When I was in 8th grade, my school had a Mardi Gras ball and the teacher who was running it had only one demand of the DJ (who was called The Green Machine) — to play “New Orleans Ladies” by Le Roux. I think of this every Carnival season and it makes me laugh. It’s a very specific random memory, but thats my brain.
6.58/365: February challenge day last — What is your center? What is it that you bring to the world?
Heavy, man.
My center is my family and friends. Nothing new. That’s your center, too. Right? Yes, God. I talk to God; I read; but it’s people that center me.
What do I bring to the world? Words. Snark. A little style. Artwork. A love for all of those things.
That’s it for February. I’ll see you tomorrow.
6/58.365: February challenge day 27 — Your fears
Literally everything. Have you read the tagline of this blog?
Like everyone, something bad happening to my family is my greatest fear. Aside from that, owls or other predatory birds. Dogs that look like wolves. Noises in the dark. Men following me in a store or parking lot. Stairs and curbs due to my knee arthritis.
Oh, and being in public without earrings or lipstick.
