6.75/365: March challenge day 17 — why and when did you start blogging?

I started blogging on Blogspot when I moved to Canada in 2002. Blogging was very new and I used it to keep the family updated on what was going on and posted pictures of the kids. That was the first iteration.

I took off from blogging for about a year until I started scrapbooking again in 2004 and had a blog called Scraps and Lagniappe where I posted pictures of my layouts and photos from scrapbook trips. Soon, the Lagniappe part took over and my blogging became more of what its been for the last several years.

Blogging is a way to communicate via the written word, along side pictures, which makes for the perfect combo. It’s like a personal newspaper article with a photo from a scene, but you can include whatever you want. Write what you want when you want on whatever subject you want. I switch it up and I like the freedom of that.

6.68/365: March challenge day 10 — Daily routine

I don’t think y’all are ready for the excitement that is my daily routine.

6:30 am — get up, make sure Andrew is up for school, make coffee, watch the news for the weather, close the garage when Andrew leaves. Go back to bed. Yep.

9-ish am — get up part two. Either shower and wash hair or spray hair with water and add JVN Air Dry cream and scrunch, put on some degree of skincare and makeup. Have coffee. Read news. Take morning medicine.

10-ish — do some stuff around the house (clean, organize, whatever).

All damn day — whatever I want. Text friends, hang out with Molly, read, watch tv, run errands, have something for lunch.

3:12 pm — greet Andrew from school, go over anything that happened that day, any assignments that need to be done.

5-ish — start some kind of dinner and eat.

6ish — get kids to help me pick up from dinner.

Night — read, watch a movie or shows, go down a rabbit hole after looking up an actor from a movie, doom scroll on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok, or whatever until around midnight. Oh, take nighttime medicine at some point.

Jealous?
