3.242/366: on T.S. Eliot

My top favorite piece of literature (and that’s a difficult choice to narrow down) is T.S. Eliot’s the Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock. It’s a long poem that speaks volumes. I wrote about it years ago on this very weblog.

The other day I found an Etsy seller called Obvious State, that makes the written word into art. I posted their print of The Awakening yesterday. Check out their Prufrock pieces:

3.241/366: my favorite book

My favorite book is The Awakening by Late Chopin, not be confused with the Robin Williams movie, Awakenings. It’s an amazing g book that I’ve written about before on this very blog. I wrote a research paper in high school on it. It endures.

Imagine my excitement to see this on the Insta yesterday, with the protagonist, Edna, wearing/casting away the words of the novel. It’s simply beautiful.

3.240/366: update and nites from your therapist #23

Hurricane Laura update: my family is pperfectly fine. We got a breeze. However, friends of mine have damage to their homes in South Louisiana, but they are physically fine. Homes can be fixed. They will be without power and water for what will probably be weeks. If you pray, please keep the people of Louisiana and the other states who are in the path of Laura in your prayers. This is one nasty storm.

And no for something completely different. I saw this on the Insta and greatly identified with it.
