4.83/365: this is America

Please tell me Martha Stewart is the only one braising celery.

This email did not, in fact, find me well. Maybe it’s that they spelled “vacuum” wrong (or most of the words). Phishy.

Please visit McSweeney’s for this perfect example template for every spree shooting by white people in America. This was written in response to this:
A Georgia sheriff’s commander was widely criticized Wednesday after he seemed to provide an excuse for the man arrested in the shooting deaths of eight people at three massage spas near Atlanta… ‘yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did,’ Baker said during the joint news conference with the Atlanta Police Department.” — Huffington Post 3/17/21
Seriously.
This is a fact.

Sally St. Patrick’s Day! Hope y’all got your sokes!

Gee, it’s true.

That’s a Counting Crows song, but really — today has me beat. I feel awful. Achey and tired and depressed. I took a two hour nap and I can never nap anymore. Daylight Savings never affected me until about a year ago. It’s not just me. FL Senator Marco Rubio introduced The Sunshine Protection Act, which would move us permanently to year-round daylight saving time, meaning we wouldn’t “fall back” in November.
From NPR:
The effort is supported by a bipartisan group of lawmakers, including Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts, who echoed Rubio in highlighting the potential benefits of extending DST. “Studies have found year-round Daylight Saving Time would improve public health, public safety, and mental health — especially important during this cold and dark COVID winter,” Markey said.

I found this on SwissMiss and loved it. It’s just right. No act is ever too small.
