4.125/365: the Goop Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand has outdone itself. Not in a good way. You can go to the website for the extensive list of things your mother either does not want or does not want to get from you. There are reasonably priced beauty products, but it’s mostly very expensive things that your mother would say are too expensive for pajamas or what I can only refer to as personal items.

Let’s do this.

It’s $595. It’s a turtleneck sweater and it’s May.
Why send flowers when you can give a $19,500 necklace that goes with everything?
Your mom will kick your ass if you buy this.
Nope.
What mom doesn’t want “you are everything” in Gwyneth’s handwriting lit up on her wall? No mom.
NO. NO. NO. This is SOLD OUT. If you buy this for your mom you have a relationship that is much closer than it should be. AND A NECKLACE? WHAT? No.
I can’t do this anymore. Mom just wants to be taken to brunch and left alone to watch true crime shows.
