5.55/365: ALL 5

I was in therapy five or six years ago when my therapist brought up healthy boundaries and I remember thinking “but how does one set boundaries with certain people?” How? You just do. And you don’t have to explain yourself.

And you don’t have to explain yourself with any of these five. Yes, you can be kind while setting boundaries, saying no, disengaging, feeling angry, and holding people accountable. More importantly, doing these things is an exercise in being kind to yourself.

5.51/365: Sopranos hybrid

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl, but I did see the best commercial I’ve seen in a long time. The hubs and I have been on our second rewatch for the past couple of months because it’s the best tv show ever. The commercial has Meadow driving the same route her dad did in 1999, rolling up to a hybrid charging station and meeting her brother, A.J. The voiceover says the Chevy is for a new generation, which sounds like Meadow and A.J. are in charge now — which would be amazing.

Here’s a convo from the show about hybrid cars (hysterical), followed by the side-by-side of the Sopranos intro and the ad. Enjoy.
