This is the reason the interwebs was invented. I give you the Ghetto Beauty and the Beast.

That would be Outback Red. No, not the new fangled Outback Red. I'm talking about the old 80s Outback Red sold at The Limited back when I could still wear clothes in the sizes The Limited carried.
I wore a lot of Outback Red. My favorites were an oatmeal colored big sweater with tortoiseshell buttons at the neck that I wore with brown stirrup pants and the dress I wore for 8th grade graduation. I found a photo of the dress online in pink, but my dress was white with big open forest green checks. Like an open plaid.
I loved that dress. I don't think I belted it. The skirt was twirly. I wore scrunchy socks and Eastlands with it. Eastlands were my shoe of choice.
Kids these days don't even know the fun they missed by not being born in the era of the Atari 2600. Because I'm a good parent, I got the kids the Atari classic games for Playstation – but the problem is that these games were not designed for modern controllers. The classic games were designed for the classic joystick or rollerball, thus I suck at playing the games on Playstation. The kids do not believe I was once a master of Centipede and Super Breakout. Super Breakout was my game.
This screen shows the more advanced double paddle, but you get the idea. Super Breakout was a sort-of Pong on Crack. You moved the paddle to hit the ball, the ball hit the colored bricks, you had to hit all the bricks to go to the next screen where you hit more bricks.
I was good at this.
Kerry trivia: I do not love a board game. I hate most of them. Don't ask me to play Monopoly, I'll just buy the low-rent properties and set up crack houses on Ventura. The Game of Life? That's bullshit. Clue? It was Ms. Scarlet in the kitchen with the SHUT THE HELL UP.
The only board game that I love and have loved since its debut is Trivial Pursuit. I guarantee a win if you are on my team. Yes, I said guarantee. I honed my Trivial Pursuit skills at my grandparents' house in the 80s when we played during family functions. I am queen of the Trivial Pursuit. In college (in the 90s) we held Trivial Pursuit nights in the dorm lounge. I should have majored in it.
I'm weird in that I've always liked grown-up cereals. My number one is Cracklin' Oat Bran. Then Honey Bunches of Oats. I'm not sure what it is, but because my mom would never buy Cookie Crisp, I was fine with not eating the sugary stuff. My sister, on the other hand, loved Reese's Puffs and all kinds of kid cereals. I remember two sugary-gross cereals I liked. Here are the commercials.
Waffelos.
and Dinky Donuts. I had to look this one up to make sure I didn't dream up Dinky Donuts.
ohmigawd, you could win a vcr!
