R.E.M. Is having something of a moment. They’ve been active on their Instagram for a good while, though it has to be their office since they broke up years ago and the members each have their own personal accounts. But since The Bear (great, great show on Hulu) featured the song “Strange Currencies” heavily in two episodes, the band made a Bear mix and two new videos.
Here’s the lyric video, which is unlike any lyric video you’ve seen before.
Now, they’ve released a Spotify playlist of 40 songs, with each member’s picks on IG. I assembled the picks below. Bravo to Bill Berry for giving my “Voice of Harold” some love. It’s a favorite.
