Peace is a rare thing for me to find during the holiday season. My anxiety is up at all times. This year my knees hurt a ton more than usual. Next week I’ll look into getting gel shots in my knees. Anyway, I usually feel peace when everyone’s gone to bed on Christmas Eve. That’s when I watch my movie and reflect. I’m wishing peace to you all.
Month: December 2022
5.354/365: capturing December challenge — scarf
This my favorite scarf. And this is a picture, Lorene, from four years ago with my grandmother who passed away in November.

5.353/365: capturing December challenge — candy cane
A favorite older ornament.

5.352/365: capturing December challenge — outside Christmas lights
This barely qualifies (there are lights), but it’s my favorite in my section of my subdivision.

5.351/365: capturing December challenge — Christmas tree
My tree this year. I love my muted greens, pinks, blues, silver and gold ribbon, with pops of red and other colors that are family ornaments. Keep in mind, this after two pets have running around it. Bonus tree on my tv console.

5.350/365: capturing December challenge — favorite Christmas song
My favorite has always been “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” the original Judy Garland version. Enjoy.
5.349/365: capturing December challenge — family
I live this photo of our first Christmas in Houston. We went to the zoo, where they do Zoo Lights, but we went the day before they lighting. Dumb me. But look how cute my munchkins were.

5.348/365: capturing December challenge — a beautiful sight
My daughter’s view from her dorm in Calgary.

5.346/365: capturing December challenge — green
I made several “trees” for our mantel that are a better match with our Christmas tree. This is one of the green ones, made with organza ribbon.

5.345/365: capturing December challenge — wrapping paper
I’m big on wrapping paper. I put a lot of thought into my theme each year and this year I’m doing plaid and toile with white ribbon and probably tuile. The wrapping is part of the gift. I love a beautifully wrapped gift. I try to box everything and I use real hang tags, me er a stick on tag or now.
This is what I’m using this year. It’s arriving tomorrow.
