Y’all are going to have to hear me out on this one because it’s complicated, like me. I love A LOT of covers, especially the covers of ’80s songs that were featured on Grey’s Anatomy in season 15 (I believe), but this one is my absolute favorite in the world. This song is a cover AND a mash-up before mash-ups were a thing – before they existed, sure people would play a song and go right into another song on an album, but this is a completely different animal all together. Dear Readers, this is going to blow your mind if you’ve never heard it. In 1990 The Pet Shop Boys covered U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name” and combined it with Frankie Valli’s 1960 song “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” swirled them up, threw glitter in the air, blew air kisses and released this gift to the world.
Yes, I wrote all that from memory. I told y’all I have a weird memory.
I give you “Where the Streets Have No Name (Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.”
