The 80s were awesome.
A lot of the music was good.
There were great movies.
I was a kid, pre-teen, then a teeenager in that decade.
I don't think we used the word "pre-teen" then.
It was the decade that I started writing, started to discover who I was.
It was when I went to Graceland.
It was when I gave up Barbie Dolls and got crushes on boys.
I think that's what the nostalgia about the 80s is about. It's that time for so many of us when we went from children to young adults.
That's why the 80s were so special.
