With all this iPad talk of late, I thought I'd tell y'all that I love my iPhone. I've decided to wait until the second generation of iPads come out before I get my iPhone a big brother. I'm thinking that the second gen will have a camera and a few more things gadget geeks like me are hoping for. Anyway, knowing I am a gadget geek, friends like to ask me what my favorite apps are, so I thought I'd tell you.
I love camera apps. My first must is iZoom FX, which is great for giving your iPhone the zoom Steve Jobs doesn't think we need. I used it a ton at the circus last summer and it worked swell. Next is PS Mobile, which is Photoshop Mobile. It lets you adjust hue, saturation, color, and contrast all on your iPhone – so if a pic isn't just right, you can fix it and upload it to Facebook without putting it on your computer first. For my ultimate new favorite — I have to go with Hipstamatic. I found out about this gem on Dooce's blog. It gives you choices of old fashioned films and lenses – tell me that's not awesome.
Here's a sample of pics I've taken with the Kodot film and John S lens.
My Easter earrings.
My niece, Elaina, having ice cream.
Some pale weirdo.
So, that's Hipstamatic. There are lots of other lenses and film, but I've only showed you two. Download it and have fun.
Speaking of fun, whenever someone says "I need a new fun app," I tell them to get Esteem Aid. It's completely silly. And fun. Say you're down, open Esteem Aid and shake. You get messages like this:
Obviously.
Thanks, Syralja – I admire you, too.
Again, obviously. But I can't play guitar and he looks better in Hawaiian shirts.
Esteem Aid takes your contacts names and inserts them in the messages, so you may get "You are ten times sexier than Kerry" or "Kerry is thinking about you." Which I am – I am constantly thinking about you. It's a free app, get it and bust it out when you're bored, it will make you laugh. It makes me laugh when it says "Cindy thinks you are hot," because that's just what I want from my son's bus driver.
I'll have a Tunes Tuesday next week and more posts this week. Y'all be good.
